This role independently delivers complex infrastructure solutions and assumes ownership of core platform areas across hybrid datacenter and cloud environments. Engineers at this level are expected to move beyond implementation into solution design, automation development, and long-term platform improvement.
Requirements
Design and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with established architectural standards. Own and maintain core infrastructure platforms such as virtualization, identity, storage, or cloud services. Lead complex system deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
Engineer highly available and resilient systems supporting operational workloads.
and implement improvements. Develop and maintain standardized infrastructure configurations. Improve system consistency across environments through engineering best practices.
Establish deployment patterns and operational baselines. Reduce configuration drift through structured platform management. Design and implement automation for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
Develop reusable scripts and tooling to reduce operational overhead. Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and configuration management practices. Improve deployment reliability through automation and validation workflows.
Lead resolution of complex infrastructure incidents involving multiple systems. Perform deep technical analysis to identify systemic issues. Implement engineering improvements that prevent recurrence.
Support incident response activities requiring cross-team coordination.
Implement secure configuration baselines and identity controls. Support audit readiness through proper system configuration and documentation. Ensure infrastructure supports controlled and regulated data environments.
Provide technical guidance to administrators and junior engineers. Collaborate with network engineering, security, and application teams. Participate in technical planning and infrastructure roadmap discussions.
Contribute to internal engineering standards and best practices. 6+ years experience implementing and supporting enterprise infrastructure. Demonstrated experience designing infrastructure solutions independently.
