Impulse Space — Redondo Beach, California
As an Antenna Engineer (Automation) , your core responsibility will be to drive characterization and verification of next-generation antenna products. You will design and own key performance indicators across a range of products and develop automated scripting and processes for collecting data. You will work with antenna engineers, RF engineers, test engineers, mechanical engineers, and others to meet needs across a wide range of antenna products.
You will work on passive and active antennas for transmitters and receivers in bands ranging from 1GHz to 30GHz. Develop and maintain antenna performance matrices (KPI frameworks) for passive and active antennas Implement scripts to control RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, antenna pattern measurement infrastructure, power meters, power supplies, and other devices. Plan and execute verification campaigns to evaluate early prototype device performance against desired specifications.
Analyze raw antenna pattern data to generate reports, detail compliance with internal and regulatory specs, and advise designers on improvement opportunities. Design and implement fixtures to evaluate design compatibility with other satellite subsystems and coexistence across RF systems.
Compensation
bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
