E-bike Mechanic, Düsseldorf

Upway is a fast growing startup building the largest marketplace for refurbished e-bikes globally. We have refurbished over 20,000 e-bikes in just two years and are growing fast! We are looking for a Bike Mechanic for our Upway Düsseldorf Refurbishment Centre, currently our largest Centre in the world.

The mechanic team repairs a large number of different used e-bikes and refurbishes them to excellent condition, providing Upway’s customers with a vast and high-quality e-bike selection. As a Mechanic, you will carry out the entire repair process of an e-bike and ensure that the bikes are delivered in excellent quality. You will work with your teammates in our Refurbishment Centre in Berlin, dealing with e-bikes only and using the highest quality materials and most modern tech there is.

Due to the large selection of different e-bikes (speed bikes, mountain bikes, city bikes, cargo bikes; heavily used to almost new), the job remains varied and highly challenging. You repair e-bikes independently with everything that goes with it (reception, inspection, troubleshooting, spare parts selection, repair, quality control) Together with your team, you prepare e-bikes for delivery to our customers and keep the existing fleet in good shape You work on constantly improving our service and our e-bikes You become an essential part of our team and bring in your ideas for optimizing the warehouse and its operations You have thorough expertise in electric bike mechanics. (1-2y for Bike Mechanic, 2y+ for Senior Bike Mechanic) You have a passion for excellence and enjoy working thoroughly and independently You enjoy trying out new repair processes and their continuous improvement You have good knowledge of German and/or English Upway is a flat organisation of highly motivated and talented people who are passionate about excellence, building the best products for our customers, and making a rapid and substantial impact on society.
