What You’Ll Do
The qualified candidate will provide support to the engineering functions of the firm. They would understand and interpret drawings, plans, details, and specifications in the field on construction projects. They will also be comfortable with taking field measurements and managing construction projects.
Field work will primarily consist of construction observation and documentation of work in progress, keeping daily records of quantities and activities, verifying material specifications, and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. Also, the candidate will be required to assist with tracking requests for information, change orders, and contractor and client communications. Field measurements for record drawings and verifying compliance to plan will utilize some survey equipment, such as GPS, optical or laser lever, and hand tools, such as measuring rod and tape.
On-the-job-training will be provided as needed Works independently in the field with oversight by the engineer of record and project manager.
