Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for patients, offering professional, empathetic communication that fosters trust and comfort. Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of clinical services, including managing patient intake, scheduling, and data entry. Address patient concerns and challenges with understanding and unconditional positive regard, supporting and empowering patients throughout their treatment journey.

Collect and accurately document patient details, medical history, and consent forms, ensuring accurate data entry into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Verify patient insurance coverage, assist with pre-authorizations, and ensure proper documentation for billing. Ensure all patient records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date in the EHR system, including treatment plans and test results, while maintaining confidentiality.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure timely and efficient patient care, addressing needs and concerns as they arise. Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, maintaining the confidentiality of all patient-related information.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Active Medical Assistant Certification Administrative experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in behavioral health or SUD care.
