About This Role
Axsome Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, Supply Chain to play a critical role in managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain for our commercial and clinical products in the US and globally. This role will be responsible for overseeing supply planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, contract manufacturing relationships, and logistics to ensure seamless product availability.

This role will bring deep expertise in pharmaceutical supply chain operations, a strong compliance mindset, and exceptional problem-solving skills, excelling in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will report to the Vice President, Supply Chain and collaborate cross-functionally with teams including CMC, Quality, Finance, Program Management, Trade Distribution, Commercial and Regulatory, as well as external vendors and global business partners. This role is based at Axsome’s HQ in New York City with an on-site requirement of at least three days per week.

Responsibilities
and Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop and execute supply chain strategies to support commercial and clinical product needs in the US and global markets. Ensure an efficient and uninterrupted drug supply through proactive planning and risk mitigation. Support new product launches and implementation of product changes; act as the owner of the Change Control process as required by Axsome’s Quality Management System.
Develop and maintain accurate supply chain documentation, including end-to-end supply chain process definition, Master Product Data Sheets, batch tracking and product genealogy. Oversee demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management to optimize supply levels. Partner with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure timely production, packaging, and distribution.
Lead S OP (Sales Operations Planning) processes to align supply with business needs. Manage relationships with CMOs, 3PLs, and other key supply chain and business partners in the US and Negotiate and oversee supply agreements, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance metrics. Collaborate cross-functionally with CMC, Quality, Finance, Program Management, Trade Distribution, Commercial, and Regulatory teams to align business priorities and maximize value creation.
