Veterinary Technician – Baxter, MN Join an Award-Winning Team in the Beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area Voted Best Veterinary Clinic and Grooming Facility in the Area , Animal Care Center is seeking a full-time or part-time Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative, patient-focused three-doctor team in Baxter, Minnesota. Our exceptional 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio allows our technicians to play an active role in patient care while practicing advanced technical skills every day.
From anesthesia induction and intubation to surgical monitoring and technician appointments, our CVTs are trusted members of the medical team and are empowered to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. We are committed to providing high-quality medicine while supporting a healthy work-life balance. Our hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM , which means no regular evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
Full-time team members enjoy either a four- or five-day work week, along with a full one-hour lunch break each shift. For technicians interested in additional earning opportunities, participation in our optional after-hours emergency on-call program is available. On-call hours run from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekends, with team members receiving an on-call stipend plus a minimum of two hours of time-and-a-half pay whenever called into the hospital.

com. POSITION SUMMARY: This position will assist the Veterinarian in diagnosing and treating pets in a small practice. This position is responsible for maintaining medical charts, completing preparatory procedures for Veterinarians, and providing general healthcare information to clients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (Essential Functions)
: • Foster a culture built on our values: Respect, Learning, Do the Right Thing, WOW Service, and Fun • Provide professional, efficient, quality medical care and exceptional service to clients while maintaining maximum productivity • Obtain patient medical history from the client and referring veterinarians as needed • Perform initial evaluation of pet’s condition, collect information from client, observe pet's behavior, and checks vital statistics • Complete preparatory procedures and assist the Veterinarian throughout the rest of the examination, diagnosis, procedures, and treatment phases • Restrain pets during exams as needed • Create and maintain patient medical records and documentation • Obtain and prepare various samples including blood, urine, and fecal samples for diagnostic testing.
