About the project As a Tableau Server Administrator Senior , you will support our Data Engineering team by managing and optimizing our Business Intelligence ecosystem, with a strong focus on Tableau Server administration and dashboard development. You will help ensure that our data platforms are reliable, scalable, and user-friendly, enabling internal teams to efficiently access insights and make data-driven decisions. In addition you will contribute to broader BI tooling and AWS-based infrastructure, bridging the gap between data engineering and analytics by improving platform performance, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing overall developer and analyst experience .
What You’Ll Do
Administer and maintain Tableau Server — ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability for Finance and Sales teams. Manage user access, site permissions, and row-level/user-level data security within dashboards. Configure and troubleshoot data source connections, including ODBC/JDBC drivers, connection types, and access token revalidation.
Requirements
Troubleshoot Tableau Server issues via Linux command-line tools — navigating logs, checking services, and diagnosing environment-level problems in a terminal. Support additional BI tools including Power BI and AWS QuickSight. Work with AWS infrastructure (EC2, EFS, RDS, ALB, VPC) to support BI and data platform operations.
Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and performance issues across BI and data environments. Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure efficient data access and usability. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) for BI and data-related workflows.
Implement and monitor system health using tools like Grafana. What makes you a great fit 🎯 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field . Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Server Administration.
Proven ability to troubleshoot Tableau Server issues end-to-end (connections, drivers, tokens, permissions). Experience managing user-level and row-level data security within the same Tableau dashboard. Solid understanding of Tableau data source connection types and ODBC/JDBC drivers.
Comfortable troubleshooting a Linux environment using terminal commands (logs, services, system diagnostics). Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and/or AWS QuickSight.
