It is not related to IT, software, technology, or any other type of engineering so candidates with those backgrounds will not be considered. We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our growing team in Texas. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside senior leadership, contribute to impactful infrastructure projects, and play a key role in shaping the delivery of our water and wastewater services.
The Opportunity As a Senior Engineer, you will take ownership of project execution while supporting the growth of a high-performing team. You will collaborate closely with a Principal Design Center Lead and contribute to building a scalable, high-quality delivery model across projects. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to expand their technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and drive meaningful project outcomes.
What You’Ll Do
Project Delivery Technical Leadership Lead the design and execution of water/wastewater systems, including treatment, pipelines, pump stations, and conveyance Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, plans, and specifications Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across all deliverables Collaboration Execution Partner with project managers, principals, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle Support proposal development and technical approaches Mentorship Team Growth Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers Support team development and contribute to a strong, collaborative culture Help establish best practices and drive continuous improvement Innovation Efficiency Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and design processes Support standardization and scalability initiatives tied to the Design Center What You Bring 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering Strong technical background in design of treatment systems, distribution systems, or conveyance infrastructure Experience leading tasks or small-to-mid-size projects Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or in progress) #LI-EK1 Why you’ll love working for us: Company-subsidized medical and dental.
