About The Role
: Planet's hiring engine moves only as fast as our ability to give every candidate a clear, organized, and respectful experience from first conversation to first day. As Recruiting Coordinator, you will be the operational anchor of that experience — owning interview scheduling, candidate communication, and process logistics across Planet's global hiring portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of nearly every team at Planet: hiring managers, Talent Acquisition Partners, executive assistants, candidates, and the broader People team.
This is a full-time role based in our Washington, DC office, reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Operations Impact You’ll Own: Schedule interviews of all types — phone screens, full panels, executive debriefs — across multiple time zones, calendars, and interviewer preferences. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, ensuring every touchpoint feels organized, welcoming, and on time. Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready data in Greenhouse — including candidate stages, scorecard status, interviewer assignments, and offer details.
Partner with Talent Acquisition Partners to keep candidate pipelines moving — flagging blockers, escalating delays, and proactively troubleshooting scheduling friction. Support continuous improvement of the recruiting coordination workflow — proposing better templates, calendar conventions, and process documentation that scale across the team. Contribute to candidate experience initiatives, including survey follow-up, debrief discipline, and process feedback loops that close the gap between intent and execution.
What You Bring: 1+ year of professional experience in coordination, scheduling, customer service, operations, or a comparable role that required juggling multiple stakeholders and high attention to detail. Meticulous attention to detail — calendar invites are right the first time, candidate names are spelled correctly, and links work on the first click. Excellent written and verbal communication, with a warm, professional tone in candidate-facing email and chat.
Comfort with calendaring tools (Google Calendar), video conferencing (Zoom or Google Meet), and a willingness to quickly learn modern recruiting tooling such as Greenhouse and GoodTime. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adjust quickly when schedules shift, candidates re-route, or hiring needs change. Genuine customer service orientation — you treat every candidate, hiring manager, and interviewer like the most important person in your inbox.
Self-directed organization — you build your own structure for managing a high-volume workload without needing daily supervision.
