Cleo Communications, Llc
About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute test strategies for embedded firmware and systems used in coherent optical communication platforms. In this role, you will work closely with firmware, DSP, hardware, and system teams to validate functionality, performance, and reliability across pre‑silicon and post‑silicon environments. This position is ideal for an engineer with 3–5 years of experience in embedded/system testing who has exposure to coherent optical systems or high‑speed communication platforms, and who can take ownership of test frameworks while contributing hands‑on to debugging and validation.
Key Responsibilities
: Design, develop, and maintain a scalable automated test framework to validate embedded firmware and systems Integrate the test framework with multiple pre silicon and post silicon validation platforms, including simulation, emulation, FPGA, and hardware lab environments Review internal and external
Requirements
and translate them into comprehensive test plans, test cases, and coverage strategies Own daily testing and regression testing, including scheduling, execution, and monitoring of test runs Automate test execution and result collection, including: Capturing results in databases Generating automated test reports, metrics, and statistics Design, create, and maintain Jenkins pipelines for firmware build, upgrade, test execution, and regression workflows Perform initial triage and root cause analysis for failures observed during testing and issues reported by customers Collaborate closely with firmware, DSP, hardware, systems, and customer-facing teams to drive issue resolution Support system level validation of optical traffic scenarios, configurations, and stress conditions Ensure test infrastructure follows best practices for reliability, maintainability, and scalability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
