A Helping Home, LLC is seeking a highly experienced and mission‑driven Assistant Director of Residential Services to support and oversee licensed community homes serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high‑quality, person‑centered services, full compliance with 55 Pa. Code Chapter 6400 and Chapter 6100, strong staff performance, and operational excellence across assigned residential programs.
The Assistant Director plays a critical role in licensing readiness, incident management, staff supervision, program growth, and continuous quality improvement. This position is best suited for a seasoned IDD professional with demonstrated success in PA 6400 residential leadership, regulatory compliance, and multi‑site team supervision.
Requirements
are met, including orientation, annual training, medication administration, and ISP‑related training Plan, facilitate, and document staff meetings; ensure effective communication across programs Support disciplinary actions in collaboration with senior leadership and HR Person‑Centered Services & ISP Oversight: Ensure assessments, ISPs, ISP annual updates, and ISP revisions are completed in accordance with Chapter 6400
Monitor implementation of Individual Support Plans to ensure services are delivered as written Promote and enforce the principles of Everyday Lives, Normalization, and Positive Approaches Ensure accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and outcomes Scheduling, Budget & Operations: Develop and monitor residential staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage Review and approve schedule changes, timecards, and payroll records for assigned programs Ensure fiscal accountability and budget compliance for residential homes Support service authorization tracking and operational sustainability
Proficiency with HCSIS / EIM systems Experience supervising multi‑site residential programs and staff teams Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances
Required Qualifications
: Education & Experience (one of the following): Master’s degree in Human Services or related field with 5–7 years progressive experience in PA 6400 residential services Bachelor’s degree with significant leadership experience in a Chapter 6400 residential setting Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in IDD residential services Demonstrated expertise with PA Chapter 6400 and Chapter 6100 regulations Strong knowledge of ODP Incident Management, investigations, and compliance
