As a Technical Editor or Writer at ANSER, you’ll support our teams by developing, reviewing, and refining technical documentation that communicates complex information clearly and accurately to a range of audiences, including government clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners. Responsibilities
: Write, edit, and format a wide range of technical documents including reports, manuals, briefings, white papers, proposals, and policy documents. Review content for clarity, grammar, consistency, and adherence to style guides and formatting standards. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), analysts, and project teams to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content.
Ensure all deliverables are accurate, professional, and aligned with organizational and client standards. Manage multiple editing and writing projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy. Maintain version control and documentation workflows using collaborative editing and document management tools.
Apply plain language principles and follow federal writing guidelines when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 3+ years of experience writing or editing technical content, preferably in support of government, defense, or intelligence programs.
Strong command of grammar, usage, and editing conventions, with an eye for detail. , Chicago Manual of Style, APA, or in-house templates). , Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, LaTeX, or XML-based editors).
