We are looking for a Corporate Tax Senior to join our Kent corporate tax team, based in either Chatham or Canterbury, working within a hybrid model of three days in the office and two from home. The Corporate Tax team comprises 25 professionals across our offices and forms part of a wider tax team of nearly 100 staff. The role focuses on delivering high quality corporate tax compliance work across a varied client portfolio, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and to the required technical standards.
Alongside this, you will support managers and partners on the delivery of advisory projects, contributing to the resolution of more complex technical and commercial issues. You will take ownership of your own workload and client relationships, acting as a key point of contact on routine matters and working closely with the wider team to manage deadlines and priorities effectively. The role requires strong self‑management, initiative, and the confidence to take responsibility for the work you deliver.
As a Tax Senior, you will support the development of junior colleagues through supervision and review, and work closely with Managers and Partners on more complex technical issues. The role is well suited to someone looking to deepen their technical expertise, take on increasing responsibility, and progress towards an Assistant Manager position over time. Prepare and deliver high‑quality corporate tax compliance work across a varied client portfolio, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to deadlines and budgets.
Take ownership of your own portfolio of work, planning and managing assignments effectively and escalating issues appropriately where matters are complex or uncertain. Act as a key point of contact for clients, internal teams, and HMRC on routine matters, drafting clear and professional client communications and responding promptly to queries. Identify opportunities for advisory work and support senior team members on advisory projects by drafting advice and joining client calls.
